With the unseasonably warm weather, rain and thawing ground, we've cancelled the Mar 28 Fat Bike Bush Pig Open.
The 1st Bush Pig Open Race in 2021 is Sunday Mar 28th.
Come out and challenge yourself on the groomed single tracks and skate lanes at the Walden Trails.
The Outside Store is sponsoring the race series again this year.
With outside gathering limits increased to 25 people, registration is open.
Wearing Masks is mandatory in the registration, start and finish areas.
Maintain physical distancing while on-site and minimize your time on-site before and after the event
Pandemic restrictions, extreme weather and trail conditions are the wild cards for this type of event and may cause the event to be postponed.
Fat Bikes Only - minimum tire width - 4", but if conditions are soft, a 4.5” or larger tire is what you need.
These events can’t happen without volunteers. We need 6 volunteers in each Wave.
If you volunteer in one Wave, you can race in another.

Race Format:
No Race-Day Registration
1, 2 or 3 Laps on a 3.3 km Recreational Course - pick this on race day
3 x 20 rider waves
Waves start 60 minutes apart
Riders in each Wave start 1 minute apart
You sign up on-line for the Wave you want to race in
Your Start Time will be posted on-line the day before the event
On race day, drop by registration 30 minutes before your start time, pay and pick up your plate & draw prize
You can change the number of laps you want to ride on race day
Prizes: No awards, but draw prizes will be pre-selected and can be picked up at registration
