The meeting is open to registered Club Members, members from 2023 & 2024 and the public interested in finding out more about the Club.

Again, this year, one lucky AGM attendee will win a Free WMBC membership. To be eligible, you need to attend the AGM and have bought your 2024 WMBC membership.
The venue for the meeting is the Main Chalet at the Walden Trails, 1 Denis Ave, Naughton.

Boost confidence in your bike and in yourself.
This series of woman-led MTB maintenance classes is designed to empower the women+ mountain bikers through concise demonstrations and hands-on learning. Knowledge is the best way to protect your investment and reduce mechanical issues, from cleaning best practices to fixing flats and mending chains!
As a participant, you will receive a course workbook to boost comprehension during the class and be your reference manual for continued learning. You do not need to bring your own bike as the instructor’s bike will be used for hands-on practice.
This Clinic is offered by StokedMTB.
Registration is open the WMBC Members until April 1. It opens to the gereral public after that time.
May Social Ride
On Tuesday, May 21th, 2024, we will kick off the 2024 riding season with our first Social Group Ride.
Join WMBC for a group ride on the gravel in the New Sudbury area on the Minnow Lake and Moonlight Beach areas. Groups will be formed so that all skill levels are accommodated.

Beginner’s Skill Clinic - Part 1
The Club is hosting a 2-Part Beginner Skills Clinics on weekday evenings this spring.
Who can sign up?
You need to be a WMBC Member to participate
You need to be 18 or older.
Class size is limited to 25 riders.
This Clinic is for New, Beginner and Novice riders.
You are comfortable riding on pavement, but mountain biking is new to you. You have just started riding a mountain bike, but have not ridden on a trail
You have done some off-road trail riding, and mainly ride the wider double-track trails. You are not comfortable on narrow single-track trails with roots, rocks and curves. You walk around difficult sections and steeper up & down hills.

The Club has technical trail features at the Walden Trails that get you into the air, but not everyone is comfortable with riding these features.
To give you the confidence to catch some air, the Club is offering skills clinics to teach you the techniques for riding jumps.
The Clinic is open to WMBC members age 19 and over. Get Your Membership here.
Two levels will be taught at each Clinic. An assessment will be made at the beginning of the clinic regarding your current skill level.
Level 1 - You are just starting to experiment with small jumps (up to 18” high), and want to go higher
Level 2 - You doing small jumps comfortably, but would like to challenge larger jumps

Minii Adventures MTB Skills Jam 2024
Please note, that up to end of day May 24th, this event is open to MEMBERS of the WMBC only. On May 25th, registration is open to the public and the clinic price increases from $199 to $224 + HST.
Minii Adventures and the Walden MTB Club have partnered up for what is sure to be a great day on mountain bikes!
Available for riders ages 18+, from beginner to advanced, this day will have something for everyone. Featuring a morning skills & drills session to learn and practice new skills, followed by a trail ride to solidify your learning and enable you to practice your newly acquired or finely tuned skills on your local trails, all while getting more acquainted with your local MTB community.
Build confidence. Ride safer. Meet other riders. Have more fun on the trails.

+ Timing: Saturday, June 15 - 10:00 am - 4:00 pm
+ Learn from professional mountain bike instructors: Our coaches are a passionate group of local Ontario riders who are knowledgeable and inspiring and break down skills into simple and actionable steps that are easy to remember.
+ Small Group Sizes: To ensure a personal, safe and effective learning experience, groups are a 1:6 ratio [18 spaces total]. To maximize your progress, you will be with your coach for the whole day.
+ Available for: All Walden MTB members age 18+
+ Skill Level: beginner, intermediate, advanced.
Let us know in your registration form which group you prefer, but you may also be placed based on your riding experience and goals for the day.

Bush Pig Open Random 6-Hour Relay 2024
The 3rd Bush Pig Open Race in 2024 is Saturday, Aug 10th.
Come out and challenge yourself on the singletracks at Walden and enjoy the social vibe of a relay event.
What is a Random Relay?
This event is the Relay Race version of the Blind Date.
It is a regular relay race, except you don’t put together a relay team.
4-person relay teams will be created at random, but based on ability, at 9:15 am from the group of seeded riders that register.
We also have a kids event, starting halfway thru the event. See details below.
It is a low-key, recreational event, designed with a big social component and lots of opportunities to meet other Club members.
Volunteer Registration:
These events can’t happen without volunteers. We need volunteers to set up, for registration and to time the racers.

This is a 4-person relay event. There are no Solo, 2-person or 3-person categories.
You don’t need to assemble a relay team. Teams will be selected at random the morning of the event at 9:15 am. Seeding will be used, in an attempt to make all teams equal teams, or close to equal.
On race day, drop by the registration desk between 8:00 and 9:00, pay for and pick up your race plate & fill out your draw prize ticket.
After registering, stake-out an area in the stadium area to call home for the day.
There is one recreational 5 km course that everyone rides
The races starts at 10 am. The team alternates riders, trying to complete as many laps in 6 hours.
Unless injured, each team member needs to complete the same number of laps or one less than the most completed by one team member.
Only fully completed laps count. A lap can’t be started after 3:40.

McLean's 6-Hour Mountain Bike Relay 2024
The Mclean's 6 hour relay is a fun mountain bike race accessible to everyone. Great for the serious competitor, the recreational weekend warrior or the entire family!
Teams try to complete as many laps of the course as they can over the six hours. You can ride it solo or in teams of 2, 3 or 4! Awards for top finishers as well as draw prizes and post-race BBQ.
The registration desk opens at 9am and the race starts at 10 am.

Frosty Growler - 2024
Kivi Park and Adventure365 are hosting the 4th Annual Frosty Growler Fat Bike Event!
It is a fun participation event for all ages, held over the weekend, with a scavenger hunt (including a Root Beer version) and prizes, followed by a social.

Global Fat Viking 2024
Be a Fat Viker wherever you are on the weekend that the race is held in Geilo, Norway and become a finisher of the Global Fat Viking (FV50, FV100, FV150)!

Global Fat Bike Day 2023
On Saturday, December 2th, 2023, people from all over the globe will get out for a ride on their fat bike for the 11th annual GFBD.
We don’t want you to miss out on the fun, so join WMBC for a Fat Bike group ride at Kivi Park. Groups will be formed so that all skill levels are accommodated.
If you don’t have a fat bike, rentals are available through Melissa at Adventure365.
Non-WMBC members can join in the fun for $10.
If you are not a Kivi Member, you don’t need to buy a Kivi Day Pass for the ride. We have a day pass for you.
A Social will follow the ride starting at 2:00 pm at 46 North at 1275 Kelly Lake Rd, Sudbury.

Join us for our 3nd Annual Spook-tacular- urban ride.
Dress in you finest witch attire (mandatory).
We will be accepting donations to the Sudbury Food Bank (suggested donation $10)

We will meet on Kelly Lake Road near 46 North Brewery and ride for approximately 20ish km at a social pace, returning to 46 North for some witch’s brew.

Sunday, October 1, 2023 is the day to come out to Kivi Park for a great trail ride with your kids.
Kivi Park is pulling out all their ride features to make it a great event.

MTB Exchange 2023 - Walden
The MTB Exchange is a private non-profit provincial women's MTB Club. They are a collective of women's ride groups found at different hubs across Ontario giving members direct access to participate in their ride-sharing program.
As part of the True North Challenge, on Sunday morning, September 9th, the MTB Exchange is gathering at the Walden Trails to ride.

WMBC is providing the trails for OCUP #3 in the 2023 Ontario Cup Mountain Bike Series.
The event will include pre-rides on Friday evening and Saturday.

The Apex Warrior Trail running Series is taking place at the Walden Trails 7 am to 3 pm on Sunday July 3rd, so the trails will be closed to riding for this period. Check out one on the other ride areas in Sudbury or plan your ride for after 11 am.

The Club is building technical trail features at the Walden Trails that get you into the air, but not everyone is comfortable with riding these features.
To give you the confidence to catch some air, the Club is offering skills clinics to teach you the techniques for riding jumps.
The Clinic is open to WMBC members age 19 and over.
Two levels will be taught at each Clinic. An assessment will be made at the beginning of the clinic regarding your current skill level.
Level 1 - You are just starting to experiment with small jumps (up to 18” high), and what to go higher
Level 2 - You doing small jumps comfortably, but would like to challenge larger jumps

Minii Adventures MTB Skills Jam
Please note this event is open to MEMBERS of the Walden MTB Club only.
Minii Adventures and the Walden MTB Club have partnered up for what is sure to be a great day on mountain bikes!
Available for riders ages 18+, from beginner to advanced, this day will have something for everyone. Featuring a morning skills & drills session to learn and practice new skills, followed by a trail ride to solidify your learning and enable you to practice your newly acquired or finely tuned skills on your local trails. All while getting more acquainted with your local MTB community.
Build confidence. Ride safer. Meet other riders. Have more fun on the trails.

We want to engage our trail work volunteers, have them learn new techniques to build sustainable, multi-use trails, and make it an enjoyable weekend.
The IMBA Canada Trail Care Crew is a dynamic team of professional trail-builders, educators, and enablers. The Crew travels across the country, getting Canadians of all ages outdoors, and educating them about sustainable trails.
