Happy New Year from WMBC
The Walden Mountain Bike Club wishes everyone a Happy New Year. This will be another great year for cycling in Sudbury. WMBC is planning to open two new trail this year which will make the Naughton Ski / Bike Trails an even cooler place to ride. We are also excited to see the Sudbury Fitness Challenge Mountain Bike Tour Make its return in 2015. The WolfPak Racing team is also set to keep the podium streak going as it prepares for the racing season. 2014 was another landmark year for our club. We saw trail improvements to many of our trails and were pleased to re-open the Missouri-Guerin trail thanks to the generosity of property owners Nathaniel Missouri and Sophie Guerin. The membership made good use of the trails and the group rides were once again well attended. The Canada Cup event held in July was truly a celebration of cycling and amateur sport thanks to the hard work of the WMBC Trail, City of Greater Sudbury, Pulse Racing and the dozens of fabulous volunteers that supported the event. The club also worked hard with the Walden Cross Country Fitness Club to keep the venue in tip top shape. Both clubs are very proud of the trails and the working relationships that have been forged. WMBC encourages everyone to support WWCFC this winter by making use of the ski trails and the new snowshoe loop or becoming a ski club member. Stay tuned everyone for 2015 membership information as well as the date for our AGM
