A couple more work session will bring the trails to 100%.  Trimming of the ferns is still needed on a dozen sections and it sounds like a few trees came down in the last storm.

I'll be out Thursday June 20th 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm and Saturday June 22, 7:00 am to 1:00 pm.

All hands are welcome.  Come out for the whole time, or just what you can spare.  When you arrive on site call or text me at 919-1057.

If you have a gas-powered trimmer, bring it out.  Gloves, bug spray, eye and hearing protection are an asset.

The weather forecast looks great for this Wednesday!!!! The group ride will start at 6:30 PM in Naughton...hoping to see a big group there now that we will finally have a nice evening to do a group ride. Be there or be square!!!

The 2013 Riding season finally underway in Naughton. Now is the time to renew your membership with WMBC or sign up if you are interested in joining the club. You can find the registration information in the membership tab on this site. You can sign up oniline using the Zone4 process or contact Rusty Hopper if you require a paper registration.

Group rides are Wednesdays at 6:30 PM and Sundays at 10:00 AM. If you want to try out a group ride before you sign up...you can be a one time guest but you must sign a waiver before the ride. It is a great way to meet other riders, and riding in a group is always good for some fun and a laugh or two. The club also rides at other places around the city throughout the summer.

The lower and upper west trails are open.  The worst of the ferns have been trimmed.  The section between Ferns and Whitney's Whip is dry enough to ride.

Canada Cup Volunteers--stay tuned PDF Print E-mail

Those who have volunteered for the Canada Cup this year can expect a phone call or email from Amy Hill. She is the Volunteer Coordinator for this year's event. Anyone who is interested in helping out can contact her at: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it   There are a variety of roles that need to be filled. The Ontario leg of the Canada Cup has never been held  at a venue other than Hardwood Hills. This is a chance to be a small part of history. This is going to be an epic wwekend of racing where WMBC will host some of the world's best MTB racers.  This is huge for cycling in Northern Ontario.  Cycling Canada is also using the Sudbury Canada Cup results to select the Canadian Under 23 Wolrd Championship team to go to this year's World Championships. Get invovled and help WMBC and Sudbury put on a great show!!!
